The Beginning of The End

It was November 2008 and I, like many others, was glued to the T.V. taking in every bit of information on then missing 2 year old, Caylee Anthony, and while doing some internet searches on news stories about the missing 2 year old, I came across Murt's Ustream account.

So, I made an account and joined in the chat and at one point he had well over 3000 people chatting as he was giving us all a live look at the many searches going on for Caylee Anthony. As Murt drove us around the city showing us the different search sites and places of interest, most of the chatters, some of us known as roof-riders, were becoming friends but some people were there for other reasons as we all found out later on.

It was the weekend of November 7th, 2008 and Murt had driven to the hotel where bounty hunter, Leonard Padilla, was going to be staying and promised the viewers that he was going to interview him, which he did. That afternoon Murt drove to one of the search sites and when he arrived he informed us viewers/chatters that Texas Equusearch had told him that he couldn't be there and he was going to have to leave. People became upset and started telling Murt to call Det. Yuri Melich and so on.

To make a long story short, I had to run a few errands and when I returned I was told by a member of the chat that Murt was allowed on the search site after all and others were sending donations for water and other things to Texas Equusearch in Orlando so thinking this was a wonderful idea, I sent what I could. I must say, it was a rather nice feeling knowing that you were doing something nice for someone.

Over the next couple of days Murt took us chatters/viewers to a lot of places that we would have never seen on the mainstream media and for that, I'm thankful. A hand-full of us chatters/viewers thought it would be a nice way to repay Murt by finding out what hotel he was staying at and sending him food, drinks and even cash donations to help with his expenses but some people took exception to that when they found out about it. So what did they do? They made it sound like Murt asked for donations (which is a LIE) when in reality it was complete strangers doing this out of the kindness of their hearts!

Murt never once asked anyone for a dime that weekend. Not for a tire, not for a meal, not even for gas. The only monies that Murt ever received that weekend was money that people, kind people, gave to him because they cared enough for this man who was giving them something, something that they could have never seen any where else had it not been for - MURT!

Once certain people found out that I had given money, on my own free will, to Murt that weekend, I was soon to be drawn into what was then known as "Murt-Mania", and this is where all the planning was to come for bringing down - Murt.

Murt didn't deserve what was done to him, but I can only apologize for MY actions and move forward from here. I will be revealing more over the coming weeks/months and why I was lead to believe that Murt deserved all this torture from cyber-criminals such as myself.

Just so I get this clear in my mind...the donations you're speaking of had to do with Murt in a hotel and sending him food/drinks & cash donations? I was present during some of this and my recollection is different. Not meaning to incite here but a clarification would be most appreciated as to WHAT HOTEL and the timeframe. Thank you.

    1. I don't mind clarifying anything for you Anon. The hotel and time-frame I'm speaking of is on the weekend of November 7th - November 9th 2008

While I can't recall the name of the hotel, I do remember Murt settling in for the night and ordering dinner and getting the video that he had taken that day, ready to show to those who hadn't been able to be there for the whole thing.

It was the same weekend that others are claiming that, Murt, was asking for money to pay for a tire for his van, which I know is not true. He NEVER asked for any money from anyone.

If anything, it was a small group of people that wanted to help Murt, who OFFERED to pay for a tire.

Does that help with your memory at all?

  3. Sorry but we'll have to just agree to disagree. Prior to the case of Caylee Anthony, Murt had already begun his descent due to his actions (think Caretaker Letter) in the Trenton Duckett case. It was THOSE BEHAVIORS that put Murt on the radar when he got himself involved in the search for Caylee. There were questionable financial issues with fundraising (the billboard for Trenton which was never erected). The plaque for Caylee which was never put on the bench in Mount Dora. Murt is a con artist and a scammer. Read about him (in his own words) alleging to be in some type of law enforcement, a former NASA employee.....none of it true. Read his own words.

  5. could you explain why Murt (in the viral internet videos) tells chatters he conducted the hoax in the presence of (2) FBI agents? We keep asking for authentication there WERE FBI Agents there but he skips over that. Was he lying? If so, why? In order to clear his name he is going to have to account for some of his outlandish claims.
